BAM PPP PGGM Infrastructure Coöperatie has successfully refinanced the Beveren Prison project (Belgium). The project originally reached financial close in 2011 with ABN AMRO Bank, Belfius Bank and KBC providing a 25 year project loan.

BAM consortium wins contract for A94 Forstinning-Marktl in Germany

Bunnik, the Netherlands, 2 December 2015 – Autobahndirektion Südbayern (ABDSB) has selected the BAM, Eiffage and Berger Bau consortium as the successful bidder for the Availability Model A94 Forstinning-Marktl in Germany. The total project volume is around €1.1 billion.

Sea lock at IJmuiden

IJmuiden, the Netherlands, 20 October 2015 – Rijkswaterstaat and the OpenIJ consortium have reached financial close for the contract to design, construct, finance and maintain a new sea lock at IJmuiden. The OpenIJ consortium consists of BAM-PGGM, VolkerWessels and DIF. The contract value is approximately €500 million.

The Executive Board of Royal BAM Group nv has appointed Kieron Meade as managing director of BAM PPP bv with effect from 1 October 2015. Kieron Meade has been a director of BAM PPP since 2009 and will succeed Richard Fielder, who will step down in relation to his retirement.

Rijkswaterstaat awards construction of the new sea lock at IJmuiden to Consortium OpenIJ

(Translation of original Dutch press release of Rijkswaterstaat:) Utrecht, the Netherlands, 21 August 2015 – After a lifetime of almost 100 years, the Northern lock in IJmuiden needs replacement. Rijkswaterstaat (the Dutch Highways and Waterways Agency) has awarded the construction of the new IJmuiden sea lock, which is located at the entrance to the North Sea Canal, officially to the Consortium OpenIJ. This consortium, consisting of BAM-PGGM and Volker Wessels-DIF will be responsible for design, construction, financing and maintenance of the new lock for a period of 26 years.
